AMS Korea/Japan Trip!!!from email...Hi Guys,just wondering if anyone is interested in a school(AMS) trip to Korea or Japan?for those who don't know, Gary planned one last year, but it was canceled at the last min because the student population was slow to respond (for various reasons) and lengthy red tape got in way of everything else.some of the students are still interested in going and Gary has told me more than once that He would like to take us to either of the countries because he knows the people there very well ( i supposed he meant that he had the flexibility to conduct exclusive tours for us, in the airport or where-ever else, maybe even the hot spring where he jumped in clothed and got chased out and.... *i shall not digress)I attached a copy of the itinerary we received last year. Gary said that we can refer to it as a rough guide. He said to expect the price to be around $1500 (economy is improving, airfares going up again), not including own expenditures. Expect to pay a deposit upfront. Deposit will not be refunded if you withdraw without a valid reason after the cut-off date.I am trying to get the numbers of interested parties early this time around because the school requires a formal application of intent to be submitted 6 MONTHS in advance and , correct me if i am wrong, at least 40 students. Another reason is so that interested parties can have time to save/beg/steal/borrow $ for the trip. One of the reason why many students didn't revert last year was due to lack of $. Yr 3s can use the opportunity to save up their SIP allowances, eg Jetquay interns can be extra accommodating to PAX and maybe collect extra tips from the MBS patrons.By this Friday,People from my class revert to me via sms. As for the other class reps, collate the figures from your respective classmates then tell me the total Number + names.*Please do elaborate if you are interested in going but are holding back due to various reasons, eg. Price too steep, Worried of Korea War 2.0, etc, This helps Gary to plan and accommodate everyone, to the best of his abilities.Note: Reverting does not guarantee that the trip will materialize, we have to convince Gary that this time would not be another waste of his effort. Previously, he even called up his pals in the airlines to help bring the cost down. So you can imagine that it's not easy for him to call them up later again to inform that the trip is canceled. So let's help him help us. I'm sure the trip would be cheaper compared to any group tour out there and we would benefit from its flexibility.You will be informed about the deposit later, if and when Gary starts to plan the trip.Details of the trip are subjected to change. TP will be conducting a Temperature-screening Exercise on Wed 27 Jan 2010 for students and staff.
- Every ENG student was issued with an iCOOL temperature badge last semester. If you have not collected it, please do so at the School’s General Office before 27 Jan. If your badge is faulty, you can do a replacement there too. If you have misplaced it, please go to the School’s General Office to get a verification chit to purchase one at $8.
b. Students are required to check their temperature using the iCOOL temperature badge and wear it throughout that day in TP. You can learn to operate iCOOLfrom this website http://icooltempbadge.tp.edu.sg/. If you have a fever, please seek medical treatment and report your name to the School’s General Office.

AMS is organising a whole day study trip to the capital city of Malaysia. You will be taking the 1st flight out of Singapore onboard Tiger Airways and the last flight back to Singapore.
Date: 05/01/2010 (Confirmed.)
Time: TBD
Total Cost: Maximum SGD $70 (Airfare, tour and transport in KL included.)
Tentative Itinerary for the Trip:
1st half of the day, study/lessons onboard TR aircraft and KLIA on ground operations and airport stuff.
2nd half of the day, sight-seeing and shopping within the city
If you are interested, please submit your names and the $50 deposit to your class reps, and class reps please submit the names to Mr Abbas/Mr Cyrano/Mr Gary Ho by Wed (09/12/09) and the $50 deposit by Fri (11/12/09)

Thursday is also Engine's Colourgine event (it's once every 2 weeks) so do look out for the posters indicating the colour code!
As part of the event, at 12pm, there will be live acoustic performances along the concourse and
at 1pm, there will be a MASS mass dance session (tp mass dance, xi shua shua, handsign song, tp sch song, chicky dance, EVERYTHING). Our airline lecture ends at 1pm, so we can just nice can join in!!! I think it'll be damn cool if there's like, a long line of mass dancers along the Engine concourse uh. LOL.

A lot of manpower is needed for large scale events like the TP Open House and April Orientation Intake. E-guides will be cheering, dancing, and most importantly facilitating potential freshies around TP- making them feel welcome, answering any questions and ensuring their well being during the Open House 2010. Hey guys..
Its Khai here.. Well i would like to say that i am sorry if i have not been a good class rep and if you all feel that i am getting the SEAL points which i do not deserve. So as of next semester, i would be stepping down from the position of P904 class rep. I have already SMSed Sumarni about it and i also nominated Sherwin as the next class rep. if you guys have any objections do voice it out.
i would also like to say sorry for not attending the challet cause i just couldnt face you guys due to my results from the previous mains exam. so hope you guys would understand.
Tomorrow is the start of our new semester, i might be a little off but please give some time to adjust.

Pulau Ubin, 24th Sept
Despite the initial dark clouds and light rain, an impressive total of 12 turned up at the Changi Point Ferry Terminal at last Thursday morning. Good thing too, because the weather soon cleared up. Windy, cloudy and bright, it was perfect for cycling at Pulau Ubin (: So after boarding the bumboat ride to Ubin, renting our bikes for only $5, and distributing the food load, the adventure began! We didn't even use the map from the information counter, but cycled spontaneously hehe. Met a dead end once, and nearly went by a dirt path, but wound up going through a mud trail instead. Lunch was lots of fun, but you have to be there to fully appreciate the disorganized, effective field cooking and cleaning up. The weather got really hot after that, so most of us decided we had enough. It was definitely a great experience for most of us. Next time(yes, we SHALL go again!), let's stay longer though okay!!
Next up for P904 is our much anticipated class chalet from 5- 7 Oct! It's at Aloha Loyang, Terrace 2 and I'm sure the BBQ on the first night promises high spirits and good food. Immediately after that, it's Sentosa on Thursday the 8th, baby!
